Pool Lighting

Lighting features are one of the easiest ways to enhance your pool’s appearance and create a luxurious resort-like pool experience. There are several different types of pool lighting options available, some more traditional and others that completely change the look and feel of your pool in new and exciting ways.

In-ground underwater lights are the most commonly used type. They are capable of illuminating an entire pool, much like a “through the wall” light.

Fiber optic lighting is a relatively new innovation in the pool design industry, and can create beautifully illuminated pools. The fiber optic cable is installed wherever the light features are desired and can display one continuous color, or can rotate between several colors in sequence. Some fiber optic pool lights can be operated using an indoor control panel and programmed to a timer.

Floating pool lights are another type, and are available in a wide variety of styles for both in-ground and above-ground pools. They are either battery-operated or run on solar energy absorbed from the sun, causing automatic illumination from dusk to dawn. Floating pool lights typically provide between 8 and 10 hours of light before needing more solar energy. Submersibles are another type of floater that are weighted. They sink to the pool floor and create unique patterns and colors in the water—perfect for a backyard party.

SwimQuip lights are available as replacement lights only where the niche is a SwimQuip niche.
