A gunite pool is built with reinforced rebar that holds the shape of the custom design and provides strength throughout the entire structure. A concrete mixture is then sprayed onto excavated area at a very high PSI (pounds per square inch) embedding the rebar in the newly-formed shell. An additional interior finish application is then added for durability and is waterproof. This is what makes a concrete pool strong and its shape aesthetically pleasing.

The greatest asset is the finished design. A concrete pool can have several different interior finishes, including ones that resemble a Caribbean green, Mediterranean blues or one that sparkles with sun when a mineral finish is used. You can also add a personalized mosaic design to your pool floor to make it truly your own. State-of-the-art vanishing edge designs are sweeping the nation with a flowing beauty that goes on forever, while freeform design with spa and sun bathing platform are raising the bar. Plus with a concrete design you also have many options for pool coping, including brick, brushed or stamped concrete, stone or marble.
