Community Activities
We at Anthony & Sylvan Swimming Pools are grateful
for the support we have received from our Charlotte
customers and associates. One of the ways we show our
appreciation is by honoring our obligations to society,
by being a contributing member, both economically and
socially, to the North Carolina communities in which
we do business. The hope is that society will be better,
in part, due to our philanthropy and community leadership.
From little leagues to public works projects, Anthony
& Sylvan is giving back and working to make a difference
in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
 Anthony
& Sylvan is proud to support organizations such
as The United Way & American Red Cross relief efforts
to rebuild Charlotte communities when disasters strike.
Companywide, our employees annually
contribute over $50,000 to United Way chapters
through our companywide employee pledge drives and various
fundraising events. These contributions help fund programs
in health and human services agencies.
In addition, Anthony & Sylvan
employees donate their time by participating
in Days of Caring to help United Way agencies with much-needed
projects such as painting or planting gardens, preparing
and serving meals, and organizing events for seniors
or children, etc. Participation not only showcases our
volunteer spirit and commitment to making a difference
in the local Charlotte communities, but also fosters our
employees’ team spirit and morale while having
fun.
The Charlotte
swimming pool company division is proud to contribute
to various local community organizations that
our employees are passionate about supporting. Some
of these organizations include:
Levine Children's Hospital Charity Home
In conjunction with fund raising activities sponsored by WCNC-TV6, Anthony & Sylvan was the proud builder of the swimming pool for the 2005 Charity Home. The proceeds of the home and pool went toward the construction of the Levine Children's Hospital at the Carolinas Medical Center.
The Levine Children’s Hospital, which opened in October 2007, is a premier, specialized pediatric healthcare facility dedicated to caring for children from birth through young adulthood. It offers a range of specialized pediatric services, including kidney, liver and heart transplants; cardiac and cancer care; neurosurgery; rehabilitation services and the neonatal intensive care.
The $1.5 million dollar home built in Weddington, NC, included an elegant Anthony & Sylvan swimming pool and spa with some amazing features -- a beach entry into the pool, two adjacent 8 foot rain curtain water features and a spa with an oversized cascading spillway.
