New York Swimming Pool Company
-Anthony & Sylvan Community Activities
Our New York swimming pool company are grateful for
the support we have received from our customers and
associates. One of the ways we show our appreciation
is by honoring our obligations to society, by being
a contributing member, both economically and socially,
to the communities in which we do business. The hope
is that society will be better, in part, due to our
philanthropy and community leadership in the New York,
New Jersey and Connecticut areas. We
believe in supporting our local communities by
being a good neighbor...and investing in our own backyard.
From little leagues to public works projects, Anthony
& Sylvan swimming pools is giving back and working
to make a difference.
Anthony
& Sylvan is a proud swimming pool company to support
organizations such as The United Way and American Red
Cross relief efforts to rebuild communities when disasters
strike. Companywide, our employees
annually contribute over $50,000 to United Way
chapters through our companywide employee pledge drives
and various fundraising events. These contributions
help fund programs in health and human services agencies
in New York.
In addition, pool employees donate
their time by participating in Days of Caring
to help United Way agencies with much-needed projects
such as painting or planting gardens, preparing and
serving meals, and organizing events for seniors or
children, etc. Participation not only showcases our
volunteer spirit and commitment to making a difference
in local communities, but also fosters our employees’
team spirit and morale while having fun.
The New York swimming pool company
division is proud to contribute to various local community
organizations that our employees are passionate
about supporting. Some of these organizations include:
Batters Up for United Way
The New York division hosted its 4th Annual Softball Game to benefit United Way in September. Held at the Sloatsburg Community Field, the event was attended by Anthony & Sylvan employees and vendors and their families.
This yearly event is a great opportunity for everyone to get together, enjoy the game and raise money for a worthwhile cause. Monies raised from the event, along with donations of food and clothing, were presented by Anthony & Sylvan to the United Way of Rockland County. Thanks to Stephanie Hunderfund, Assistant Construction Manager, for organizing the event and to all who participated in a day of fun for a great cause!
Arsenal Dynamites
The Arsenal Dynamites is a unique girls' socceer team. In three full seasons together, they have remained undefeated! They have played teams throughout Northern New Jersey and have a combined record of 35 wins, 0 losses, and 3 ties. This past fall, they participated in and won two prestigious tournaments.
Also, this past Fall, as a U10 Team, the Arsenal Dynamites decided to just play other premier teams in the Tri-State area. The reason for this was to better prepare them for 2008 when State rankings begin at the U11 level. Once a team reaches the U11 level, they can also qualify for the New Jersey State Cup tournament for their age group.
Design Consultant Mike Spillane's daughter Erin plays on the team, and Anthony & Sylvan was proud to provide sponsorship funds to the team to help to subsidize the cost of a professional trainer. The trainer works with the girls twice a week to develop their skills and confidence. The results have been amazing, just look at their record! Go Dynamites!
