Swimming Pool Myths Debunked
There are a few misconceptions when it comes to swimming pools that we’re going to help clear the air on.
Myth #1: “You can’t build your pool in winter months.”
FALSE. For those of you that experience colder temperatures, we’re talking to you! You are able to build in the chillier winter months. There might be some minor delays if it’s too cold to pour concrete etc. Not a huge issue — you probably wouldn’t want to be outside in a bathing suit any time soon anyway. Building in the winter also means you’ll have plenty of time to finish up landscaping before spring. So, take advantage of the colder times and enjoy a full swim season!
Myth #2: “Fiberglass pools are less expensive.”
FALSE. Fiberglass and concrete pools actually share a similar price range, so which one should you choose? If you’re looking for unlimited sizing options and flexibility with design options, then concrete pools will give you a bigger bang for your buck!
Myth #3: “Pool up-keep is too expensive.”
FALSE. Avoiding building your own pool because you’re afraid pool chemicals will be a big yearly expense? Costs do depend on the size and type of pool you have, but the expense is usually significantly less than what our customers were expecting.
