September 2, 2026 updated- 5 stars to John Myer, Jay and Alex, for quickly replacing our old pool pump last week. We recently discovered they also do repairs and we are thrilled with the great responsen and service they gave us. It was replaced within. Few days and John even called me a few days later to make sure it is working. Properly which it is. Now that is great customer service! June 27, 2022 updated - our new pool completed last year is still under warranty. Suddenly this past week the salt cell failed. One text to John Myer the warranty manager was all it took to get prompt service. I followed John’s instructions and filed the claim online and within hours I received a response from the A&S office with details. John then came out a few days later on a Saturday and replaced it. And he went the extra step to check the entire system and gave us some tips to assure the pump is optimally working. Stellar customer service especially on a weekend! Initial review Feb 2022 - Our pool and spa was completed in Feb 2021. We had many issues getting the work done in a timely manner and getting problems fixed and struggled with communicating with A&S. Finally in April, John Myers was assigned to coordinate all fixes and he did a fantastic job. The design is perfect, quality of construction is great and we greatly enjoy the pool and spa. John follows up well and has worked hard to handle customer concerns that A&S experienced during the pandemic when they could not adequately complete projects and did not provide good customer communication and service. A&S has taken the customer complaints seriously and has greatly improved their service to meet our expectations. .

John Myer from Anthony Sylvan Pools is the very best at responding to requests post completion of pool work. I had a complex lighting issue tied to waterfalls, and he solved it.

I want to share the great experience I had with A&S and especially with Alex. They have returned a month after the project ended, Alex helped me to troubleshot and clean my filters!

We had an outstanding experience with Josh, Justin, and Ryan at Anthony & Sylvan Pool Builders, and I wanted to take my time to write a review that truly reflects that. From a quality standpoint, the finished product speaks for itself. The craftsmanship across the board—plumbing, electrical, shell, decking—everything is top-tier. You can tell this is a team that takes pride in doing things the right way. That said, building a pool is a major project. Anyone going into it expecting zero hiccups is probably being unrealistic. What really matters is how a builder handles those moments when things don’t go perfectly—and this is where Anthony & Sylvan truly stood out. The design process and contract phase were smooth and collaborative. This was our first time taking on a project of this scale, and they made it feel like a true partnership. They encouraged us to carefully review all design documents and contracts (while they did the same), which set the tone early that this was going to be a shared effort to get things right. We did run into one issue during construction. We had discussed wanting a 6-foot deep end during our pre-construction meeting, but unfortunately, that detail didn’t make it into the final schematics. When excavation and framing were completed, the depth came out to about 5.5 feet. Now, six inches might not sound like much—and from a functional standpoint, it isn’t—but it was one of those things that would’ve always lingered in the back of our minds if left unresolved. At the same time, we understood that re-digging and reworking the structure at that stage would have been extremely costly and disruptive. Instead of digging in their heels or making it difficult, the team worked with us to find a fair and thoughtful solution. We ultimately agreed on an upgrade to a variable speed pump and, more significantly, the addition of a pool heater at no cost. That kind of flexibility and willingness to make things right really stood out to us. The heater itself is incredibly powerful (honestly more than we strictly need for a ~10,000-gallon pool), and while it did introduce a minor complication with our home’s gas system, Anthony & Sylvan went a step further by connecting us directly with their plumbing partner at their contractor rate to help us address it. That level of support goes above and beyond what I would expect. At the end of the day, we’re extremely happy with our pool and the overall experience. I’ve already tried recommending them to a coworker out of state (only to find out they don’t operate in that area), which probably says everything you need to know about how strongly I feel about their work. If you’re building a pool—especially in Austin—this is absolutely a team I would trust and recommend without hesitation.

We are delighted with our pool, spa and deck recently constructed by Anthony and Sylvan. The end result exceeded all our expectations. The team listened carefully to our needs throughout the process - Sindo Delgado made some excellent design suggestions, and then Zachary Daniels as our project manager communicated frequently, and was responsive every time we had any questions or concerns.

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. This was a major investment for our family…something we saved for and did not take lightly…and I can confidently say the team delivered. Anthony and Sylvan were excellent to work with: knowledgeable, responsive, and clearly committed to quality. What really stood out was the consistency across every phase of the project. Justin, in the design stage, truly listened. He made thoughtful adjustments, offered experienced guidance, and helped us understand our own decisions better. It was clear he knows pool construction inside and out. Zak, our project manager, was present the entire time…answering questions, checking work on-site, sending updates, and adjusting timelines when weather didn’t cooperate. Anyone who understands construction knows things don’t go 100% as planned, but what matters is how issues are handled…and Zak handled them exceptionally well. Alex, during setup and pool school, made sure we felt confident and informed. Bianca ensured all paperwork was in order, which made a complex project feel organized and manageable. We also had the opportunity to work with Ryan (Lead Manager), who followed through and kept communication flowing. I work with subcontractors and understand project management, and I can say this team stands out. Every person we interacted with took pride in their role and made sure each stage was done right. As a caveat…we are not related to anyone involved and received nothing for this review…just genuinely impressed with the level of care and professionalism. Highly recommend.

John Myer has made the warranty process seamless. From submission of claim to pool start up I was always kept informed of any changes. Awesome customer service.

My pool was leaking and John Myer and hs team were amazing. They handled everything for me including the leak detection and there were several. Anthony & Sylvan stand behind their warranty. My pool is over 20 years old and they fixed it. They even sent me flowers when John learned that my father had passed away. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family. My brother recently renovated his pool and also used Anthony & Sylvan in Houston. Thank you all so much! I will be calling again when it is time to replaster!
