After a very mild Fall in the Northeast, the winter chill is beginning to set in and the weather has turned colder rather abruptly. It is now common to wake up in the morning to a layer of frost on the ground. If your swimming pool is still open, you need to be watchful about nightime temperatures getting below the freezing mark, so that you can continue to run the filtration equipment at night to prevent freezing of plumbing lines.
Some of the newer technologies of the day feature in-home controls that automatically switch pumps on when evening temperatures dip below freezing to prevent costly problems. If you are concerned and would consider those options, contact your local A&S office today and we’ll put the right person in touch with you.
